<p><strong>Job Overview</strong></p> <p>An Aircraft Integration Technician is responsible for assisting with the installation, integration, and testing of avionics systems and components in aircraft. They work closely with engineers and other technicians to ensure that all systems are properly installed and functioning correctly.</p> <p><strong>Essential Functions </strong></p> <ul> <li>Assist with installation and checkout of UAV electrical and electronic devices</li> <li>Utilize hand and power tools during assembly and fabrication</li> <li>Assist with utilizing multimeters and probes to conduct troubleshooting and diagnostics on equipment wiring.</li> <li>Assist with cable assembly and repairs</li> <li>Provide support working on integration, fuselage/airframe, and programming portions of the UAV.</li> <li>Assist with assembling components including switches, electrical controls, and junction boxes</li> <li>Provide support working on integration, fuselage/airframe, and programming sections of the UAV.</li> <li>Follow work instructions and/or peer guidance on proper assembly</li> <li>Performs other related duties as assigned</li> </ul> <p><strong>Standard Essential Functions </strong></p> <ul> <li>Regular and reliable attendance on a full time basis [or in accordance with posted schedule].</li> <li>Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal and external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company's policies and practices.</li> <li>Embodies AEVEX’s cultural values and aligns daily actions with department goals and company culture.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications and Competencies </strong></p> <ul> <li>Proficient understanding of fundamental skills such as soldering, crimping, tool use, and frame assembly.</li> <li>Proficient avionics and mechanical integration skill</li> <li>Ability to follow guidance on tasks and work requirements</li> <li>Ability to read and understand prints and layouts, or learn if not experienced.</li> <li>Proficient verbal and written communication skills</li> <li>Ability to work efficiently with team members, independently, and cross-functionally.</li> <li>Ability to meet daily/weekly production goals with critical time schedules</li> </ul> <p><strong>Education / Certifications </strong></p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent required.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Experience </strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience in a production and/or assembly environment</li> <li>Proven knowledge of competencies for skill level can be used in lieu of experience.</li> <li>Proven experience working on integration, fuselage/airframe, and programing portions of a UAV or similar aircraft.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Physical Requirements </strong></p> <p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
