<p><strong>Job Overview </strong></p> <p>We are a high-paced and agile manufacturing organization that is growing rapidly. We are searching for a multi-faceted production and manufacturing engineer. We are looking for someone who understands formal manufacturing environments and is able to focus on the key elements that will take us to the next level. This role is broad from shaping our MRP system to evolving material and production management systems to planning production. The primary focus will be taking designs from development to production with the majority of the work coming in the form of integration of products into UAV/USVs.</p> <p><strong>Essential Functions </strong></p> <ul> <li>Develops Assembly Work Instructions (AWIs) in conjunction with the development and production teams.</li> <li>Develops tooling, fixtures, jigs, and shop aids to support production of UAVs/USVs.</li> <li>Evaluates existing manufacturing processes to improve them, working broadly from supply chain to business systems to help things run smoothly.</li> <li>Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching testing methods, and conferring with equipment vendors.</li> <li>Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.</li> <li>Assures product and process quality by designing and implementing testing methods where required.</li> <li>Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs.</li> <li>Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.</li> <li>Provides manufacturing engineering information by answering questions and requests.</li> <li>Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.</li> <li>Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services.</li> <li>Maintains product and process database by writing computer programs and entering data.</li> <li>Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians.</li> <li>Performs other related duties as assigned.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Standard Essential Functions </strong></p> <ul> <li>Regular and reliable attendance on a full time basis [or in accordance with posted schedule].</li> <li>Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal and external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company's policies and practices.</li> <li>Embodies AEVEX’s cultural values and aligns daily actions with department goals and company culture.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications and Competencies </strong></p> <ul> <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li> <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills</li> <li>Ability to lead cross-functional teams</li> <li>Effective project management capabilities</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li> <li>Results-driven with a focus on operational excellence</li> <li>Strong manufacturing engineering experience centered around work instructions, test equipment, support equipment design for production</li> </ul> <p><strong>Education / Certifications </strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor of Science in engineering or related field required.</li> <li>Masters Degree preferred.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Experience </strong></p> <ul> <li>9+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering roles&l
