<p><strong>Work Arrangement</strong></p> <p>Onsite in Tampa, FL</p> <p><strong>Job Overview</strong></p> <p>A Senior Systems Engineer leads projects related to creating system architecture, develops and defines&nbsp;system and product requirements, defines methods for verifying compliance to requirements, creates&nbsp;new solutions for the systems, and helps systems work more effectively. This individual may train or&nbsp;mentor Systems Engineers who have less experience and make decisions on projects and department&nbsp;activities. Their overall purpose is to ensure the product or system runs as efficiently as possible and&nbsp;works consistently to meet the needs of the company.</p> <p><strong>Essential Functions</strong></p> <ul> <li>Responsible for providing engineering expertise, oversight, and participation in activities involving&nbsp;weapon systems and associated hardware/software development, integration, test, configuration&nbsp;management, and acquisition and resource management for new capabilities to an existing&nbsp;weapon system.</li> <li>Develops and documents system and subsystem level specified and derived requirements and&nbsp;allocates requirements through the appropriate work breakdown structure (WBS) as codified in a&nbsp;System Requirements Review (SRR) process</li> <li>Supports the requirements identification, verification, validation, and testing process</li> <li>Supports program technical interchange meetings, program management reviews, executive&nbsp;management reviews, test-related meetings, lab and flight test events, integrated product team&nbsp;meetings, software/hardware design reviews, platform integration meetings, etc.</li> <li>Acts as engineering team leader, developing system engineering procedures and controls,&nbsp;managing project efforts, and taking the lead in problem resolution for aircraft research,&nbsp;development, production, and lifecycle acquisition and sustainment activities</li> <li>Interfaces with weapons system contractors, vendors, and Government representatives regarding&nbsp;the technical aspects of engineering activities</li> <li>Independently applies engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, oversee, and evaluate&nbsp;weapons system development and sustainment activities</li> <li>Reviews and prepares engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other&nbsp;technical documentation</li> <li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Standard Essential Functions</strong></p> <ul> <li>Regular and reliable attendance on a full time basis [or in accordance with posted schedule].</li> <li>Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal and external business&nbsp;associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company's policies&nbsp;and practices.</li> <li>Embodies AEVEX’s cultural values and aligns daily actions with department goals and company&nbsp;culture.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications and Competencies</strong></p> <ul> <li>Skilled in use of DOORs, Cameo or other requirements management systems</li> <li>Project management skills and experience with MS Project</li> <li>Experience using workflow management software such as Jira</li> <li>Comfort with SysML and Block Diagram Development in tools such as Visio, Cameo, and/or&nbsp;Enterprise Architect</li> <li>Skilled working in the setting of an integrated product team (IPT) and/or serving as a lead of one.</li> <li>Ability to decompose complex systems into manag
