In this critical role, you will ensure compliance with nuclear safeguards regulations, develop and implement MC&A programs, and support operations by maintaining accurate material control and inventory tracking at a nuclear fuel cycle facility</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop, implement, and maintain MC&A programs to ensure compliance with NRC, DOE, and international safeguards regulations.</li> <li>Monitor, evaluate, and report on nuclear material balances, inventories, and movements to ensure accountability and regulatory compliance.</li> <li>Analyze and reconcile discrepancies in nuclear material accounting and recommend corrective actions.</li> <li>Prepare and submit regulatory reports and documentation related to nuclear material control and safeguards.</li> <li>Perform nuclear material risk assessments and vulnerability analyses, identifying and mitigating potential threats to material security.</li> <li>Collaborate with operations, security, and regulatory teams to support safe and compliant handling of nuclear materials.</li> <li>Assist in developing and conducting training programs for staff on MC&A and safeguards procedures.</li> <li>Represent the organization during audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews by agencies such as the NRC, DOE, and IAEA.</li> <li>Stay updated on evolving regulatory requirements and advancements in MC&A technologies and best practices.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Basic Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Evidence of exceptional ability (prior projects, portfolio of work, completed products, etc).</li> <li>Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals.</li> <li>Ability to perform trade studies and make clear recommendations using first principles and engineering fundamentals even with partial information.</li> <li>Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field.
