This is a full-time role offering competitive pay and great benefits. </p> <p>Join a hands‑on technical role supporting precision instruments used in the rubber and plastics industry. As a Field Calibration Technician, you’ll service, calibrate, and repair a variety of lab and production equipment while working closely with customers and a supportive technical team.</p> <p><strong>Location: On-site at our office in Fletcher, NC and surrounding areas at various customer sites.</strong></p> <p><strong>Day to Day Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Calibrate, service, and troubleshoot instruments (rheometers, viscometers, tensile testers, and related equipment)</li> <li>Perform work both in-house and at customer sites</li> <li>Communicate clearly with customers throughout the process and provide status updates with technical support</li> <li>Document calibration data and service reports</li> <li>Maintain lab equipment and support occasional equipment sales</li> </ul> <p><strong>Why Techs like this role:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Highly hands‑on, varied work</li> <li>Autonomy in the field with strong team support</li> <li>Opportunities to grow electrical, mechanical, and troubleshooting skills</li> <li>Travel variety (primarily by car)</li> </ul> <p><strong>You will be successful in this role if you:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Have the ability to learn mechanical and technical skills quickly </li> <li>Can adapt to multiple different work environments and settings  </li> <li>Are customer-oriented with excellent communication skills</li> <li>Are a person who is punctual, respectful, and honest with a positive attitude </li> <li>Have excellent attention to detail </li> <li>Have a strong work ethic </li> </ul> </section> <section class="styles--3vx-H" data-ui="job-requirements"> <p><strong>Basic Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li> <li>Strong attention to detail and troubleshooting ability</li> <li>Mechanical and electrical/electronic proficiency</li> <li>Basic soldering skills (bonus)</li> <li>Ability to travel frequently and occasionally on short notice</li> <li>Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word</li> <li>Able to lift 50lbs</li> <li>Able to climb, kneel, drive, and stand for long periods of time </li> <li>Good organizational and prioritization skills </li> <li>Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record </li> <li>Ability and willingness to travel to customers’ locations  </li> </ul> <p><strong>Nice to have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>At least two years of hands‑on technical work experience</li> <li>Knowledge of principles, procedures, methods, and techniques in metrology gained through education or professional experience  </li> <li>Knowledge and experience with Electrical, Physical, and/or Mechanical Calibration of equipment </li> <li>Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or higher in a technical field</li> </ul> <p><strong>About Us:</strong></p> <p>Accredited Labs is
