The easy-to-find, near-surface deposits have largely been found, and the industry has chronically under-invested in new exploration technology, relying on antiquated manual mining techniques– even as demand accelerates for copper, lithium, and other metals to build electric vehicles, renewable energy, and data centers.</p> <p>KoBold builds AI models for mineral exploration and deploys those models—alongside our novel sensors—to guide decisions on KoBold-owned-and-operated exploration programs. In the six years since founding, KoBold has become by far both the largest independent mineral exploration company and the largest exploration technology developer. Our data scientists and software engineers, who come from leading technology companies, jointly lead exploration programs with our renowned exploration geologists.</p> <p>KoBold has proven its first discovery with materially less capital than the industry average and found one of the best copper deposits ever discovered: the copper is far more concentrated than the global average of copper mines, and this asset alone is expected to generate meaningful revenue for decades. Rowe Price and Canada Pension Plan Investments; technology venture capitalists Andreessen Horowitz, Breakthrough Energy Ventures, BOND Capital, Durable Capital, StepStone, and Standard Investments; and natural resources companies Equinor, BHP, and Mitsubishi.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>About The Position:&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>KoBold operates exploration programs across Africa, North America, Europe, and Australia, and is scaling faster than any independent explorer in the industry. As HSE Lead, Programs and Systems, you will design and own the HSE management system, digital tooling, and training infrastructure that keep people safe across every jurisdiction we operate in.</p> <p>You will build the systems, standards, and software that empower safety ownership at the field level. If you have ever wished you could tear up your company's HSE stack and rebuild it with modern tools, an AI native workflow, adequate resourcing, and strong executive support to do it right, this role is that opportunity.</p> <p>Additional responsibilities will include:&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Own the KoBold HSE Management System end to end, including architecture, document hierarchy, review frequency, and continuous improvement aligned to ISO 45001.</li> <li>Own KoBold's digital HSE stack, including DATS, Forwood,&nbsp; and any additional platforms. Lead vendor evaluation, workflow configuration, integrations, and administration.</li> <li>Design HSE analytics that field teams actually use, including leading and lagging indicators, real time dashboards, and communications that surface risk before it becomes an incident.</li> <li>Own KoBold's AI in HSE strategy. Identify high leverage applications that optimize or replace existing software tools,&nbsp; facilitate risk assessment, critical risk verification, observations and inspections, etc.</li> <li>Own the global document library for all HSE standards, programs, and operating procedures.</li> <li>Own the global training strategy and the Learning Management System, including role based curriculum, certification tracking, compliance reporting, compete
