Kodiak is also leveraging its commercial self-driving software to develop, test and deploy autonomous capabilities for the U.S. Department of Defense.</p></div><p class="p1"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Harness Engineer to join our team in Mountain View, CA. The successful candidate will be responsible for product-level design and validation of electrical wire harnesses that are critical to the operation of our autonomous vehicles. The role will work collaboratively across mechanical, electrical, and integration engineering teams to build safe, reliable systems.</span></p> <p class="p2"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><strong>In this role, you will:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li class="p2" style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Design automotive wire harnesses and busbars using mechanical CAD software (SolidWorks)&nbsp;</span></li> <li class="p2" style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Be responsible for wire routing paths, lengths, strain relief features, and connector selection</span></li> <li class="p2" style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Create drawings and BOMs </span></li> <li class="p2" style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Release design documents to manufacturing through PLM software (Arena) </span></li> <li class="p2" style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Create content for work instructions, such as CAD graphics </span></li> <li class="p2" style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Collaborate with electrical engineers on wire harness design </span></li> <li class="p2" style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Incorporate design principles for EMI, grounding, tolerancing, clearance, and functionality trade-offs</span></li> <li class="p2" style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Participate in first article builds at Kodiak locations and contract manufacturers including travel to various locations within USA </span></li> <li class="p2" style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Validate designs through builds and verification testing </span></li> <li class="p2" style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Ensure high-level correlation between virtua
