<p><strong>What MatX Is Building</strong></p> <p>MatX is on a mission to be the compute platform for AGI. We are developing vertically integrated full-stack solutions from silicon to systems including hardware and software to train and run the largest ML workloads for AGI.</p> <p><strong>About the Role:</strong></p> <p>We are looking for a Hardware Systems Engineer to join our Hardware Systems team. In this role, you will take full ownership of defining, designing, and validating compute trays, boards, and interconnects for our rack-scale AI data center platform. You will work across control plane, data plane, and management plane functionality, playing a pivotal role in driving power efficiency, scalability, reliability, and system performance at scale</p> <p><strong>What You’ll Do Here:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Full ownership of board design, specifications, schematic design, verification and reliability test plan for our AI compute boards</li> <li>Design and capture schematic and work with layout engineers to release Gerber files</li> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as thermal, mechanical, SIPI, ASIC, platform software and manufacturing diagnostic software teams.</li> <li>Bring up boards and debug hardware issues in the lab&nbsp;</li> <li>Support platform and manufacturing tests&nbsp;</li> <li>Collaborate with JDM</li> </ul> <p><strong>Who You Are:</strong></p> <ul> <li>At least 10 years of experience in system-level development, preferably within the server, computer, or network industries.&nbsp;</li> <li>Proficient in DC/DC PoL and multi phase VRM designs and verifications with 48V and 12V bus. Experience with high-power AI server design is desirable.&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience with BMC and DC-SCM designs</li> <li>Experience with 100G+ Ethernet and high-speed SerDes interfaces, PCIe Gen5/6,&nbsp; as well as SPI, I2C, UART, USB</li> <li>Familiar with criteria of critical components selection</li> <li>Hands-on experience with board design using schematic capture tools and Allegro</li> <li>Hands on experience on lab equipment such as real time scope, logic analyzer, PCIe exerciser and analyzer.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability in lab bring-up and design validation</li> <li>Proven track record of delivering shipped products</li> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li> <li>Excellent team player</li> <li>Familiarity with OCP ORV3 HPR, VHDC, and IEC standards is a plus</li> <li>This position requires both design work and lab work</li> </ul> <p><strong>Compensation</strong></p> <p>The US base salary for this full-time position is determined based on a variety of factors including role, experience, location, job related skills, and relevant education and training.
