Our systems deliver best-in-class latency, throughput per dollar, and throughput per watt.</p> <p>We are seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented software engineers to join our chip simulation team. As an engineer on this team, you will design, develop, and test simulations of our custom hardware. Our team plays a key role in hardware-software co-design, enabling early development of the full software stack.</p> <p>Join us to shape the future of AI hardware abstraction and optimization!</p> <p><strong>What You'll Do Here</strong></p> <ul> <li>Design and implement a <a href="https://www.rust-lang.org/">Rust</a>-based chip simulator, building a cycle-accurate model of our custom hardware</li> <li>Collaborate with simulator customers: architecture, verification/validation, compiler, and runtime teams</li> <li>Work closely with hardware architects, building models that shape the silicon design</li> <li>Build tooling and infrastructure to aid in efficient correlation, debug, and testing&nbsp;</li> <li>Use AI development tools to accelerate your work</li> </ul> <p><strong>Who You Are</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor of Computer Science or an equivalent degree</li> <li>Skilled in Rust, or strongly interested in ramping up</li> <li>Outstanding software engineering skills, with a focus on maintainability and performance</li> <li>Strong foundation in computer architecture fundamentals</li> <li>Excellent cross-functional communication skills</li> <li>Able to work from our Mountain View, CA office three days a week (Tuesday-Thursday) as part of this hybrid role</li> </ul> <p><strong>Bonus Points If You Have</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience writing cycle-accurate simulators</li> <li>Deep knowledge of ML accelerator architectures</li> <li>Experience with benchmarking and optimizing Rust code</li> <li>Familiarity with processor, memory, and networking architectures</li> <li>An understanding of power, performance, and cost tradeoffs</li> </ul> <p><strong>Compensation</strong></p> <p>The US base salary for this full-time position is determined based on a variety of factors including role, experience, location, job related skills, and relevant education and training.
