POSITION SUMMARY This position can be based at any of our New Flyer facilities in Canada or the US. The Manufacturing Business Manager is responsible for collaborating with various members of the Manufacturing Leadership Team to develop and execute the sales and delivery plans. The Business Manager will be a leader focused on continuously improving the process of converting the Business Plan into line entry schedules, sales/delivery plans, and customer-friendly schedules. This position plays a critical role in attaining quarterly and annual delivery performance objectives to contribute to the overall success of the New Flyer manufacturing team. WHAT YOU WILL DO: Liaise between the senior leadership and management to ensure achievement of corporate objectives. Oversee planning of weekly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for New Flyer; maintaining an exit & signature Target plan. Ensure weekly sales and delivery targets are achieved by all facilities, and the development recovery plans. Accurately communicates delivery plans to internal and external stakeholders upon approval of master schedule. As well as preparing and adjusting monthly labour forecasting matrix to reflect latest Master Production Schedule revisions. Prepare, maintain and execute operational, tactical, and strategic weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for all internal stakeholders. Promote the manufacturing team to attain quarter and year-end delivery targets. Collaborate with internal parties to create optimal detailed line entry schedules. Oversee team of Analysts; and drive team toward achieving organizational excellence in their duties. Oversight of daily production status, following up when necessary to ensure prevention of issues in sales and manufacturing performance. Lead various improvement initiatives relating to manufacturing processes. Provide regular updates to the executive leadership team on manufacturing performance Requirements WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: A bachelor’s degree in either Business or Engineering (or equivalent practical experience). Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. The ability to work under minimal supervision. A history of taking initiative towards seeking processes improvements. Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and Oracle MRP or similar ERP systems.
