<p><strong>Production Assembler</strong></p> <p><strong>FLSA STATUS: </strong>Non-Exempt</p> <p><strong>DEPARTMENT:</strong> Production</p> <p><strong>SUPERVISOR:&nbsp;</strong>Production Supervisor</p> <p><strong>DIRECT REPORTS:</strong> None.</p> <p><strong>Position Summary</strong></p> <p>Responsible for cable and mechanical assembly, troubleshooting, and repairs while ensuring adherence to quality standards. Tasks include installing wire harnesses, integrating components, conducting in-process inspections, and reporting discrepancies. Must interpret technical drawings, utilize measuring tools, and follow safety regulations. Requires strong attention to detail, accurate job reporting, and the ability to work overtime as needed.</p> <p><strong>Minimum Qualifications</strong></p> <p><strong>Education: </strong></p> <ul> <li>High school diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification preferred</li> <li>IPC/WHMA-A-620 certified preferred.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Experience: </strong></p> <ul> <li>0-1 years of wire harness experience preferred.</li> <li>0-1 year of manufacturing experience preferred.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Knowledge: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Cable and wire harness fabrication experience highly desirable.</li> <li>Interpret assembly drawings and follow verbal/written work instructions to produce a high-quality product.</li> <li>Preferably knowledgeable in IPC standards.</li> <li>Proficiency in both the imperial and metric systems of measurement preferred.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Skills:</strong></p> <ul> <li>The ability to communicate with managers, engineering, and quality regarding production and quality status and issues.</li> <li>Ability to interpret assembly drawings and work instructions.</li> <li>The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team, while consistently meeting quality standards and demonstrating a positive attitude, is essential.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Job Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Cut, prep, crimp, solder, tie wrap, wind, pot, plug, close, label, and pot various cable types.</li> <li>Install wire harnesses and electrical components.</li> <li>Diagnose, rework, and repair components using hand tools per specifications.</li> <li>Conduct in-process inspections, report discrepancies, and ensure compliance with quality standards.</li> <li>Review and follow customer drawings, specifications, and manufacturing guidelines.</li> <li>Operate measuring tools and other necessary equipment.</li> <li>Notify management of scrap, quality issues, equipment malfunctions, and part shortages while ensuring accurate job reporting.</li> <li>Adhere to company policies, safety regulations, and wear required protective equipment.</li> <li>Work efficiently to meet project deadlines while maintaining quality standards.</li> <li>Able to work overtime as needed.</li> </ul> <p><em>Other responsibilities, initiatives and ad-hoc projects as required.</em><em>&nbsp;</em></p> <p><strong>Internal and External Relationships</strong></p> <p>This position interacts with quality department to ensure production of high quality products.</p> <p><strong>Physical Requirements</strong>&nbsp;</p> <p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform t
