Requirements Lead the Team That Keeps Our Operation Running At Prestage Foods of Iowa, our Maintenance Supervisors play a critical role in keeping our facility operating safely, efficiently, and at peak performance. In this leadership role, you will guide a skilled team of maintenance professionals responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting production success. This off-shift opportunity is ideal for a hands-on leader who enjoys solving problems, developing people, and making a direct impact on plant performance. What You’ll Do Drive Equipment Reliability & Operational Performance · Lead daily maintenance activities to maximize equipment uptime and production efficiency. · Troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions. · Develop proactive maintenance strategies that reduce downtime and improve reliability. · Monitor maintenance performance metrics and continuously seek opportunities for improvement. Lead & Develop a High-Performing Team · Supervise, coach, and develop maintenance technicians to build technical expertise and accountability. · Conduct training, performance evaluations, and ongoing employee development activities. · Foster a positive work environment focused on teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement. · Ensure safe work practices and compliance with company policies and procedures. Manage Preventive Maintenance Programs · Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance activities to maximize equipment life and performance. · Coordinate equipment repairs, maintenance schedules, and critical spare parts inventory. · Partner with Engineering and Operations teams to prioritize maintenance projects and improvements. · Support capital projects, equipment installations, and process optimization efforts. Enhance Maintenance Systems & Processes · Utilize and improve the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage work orders, maintenance records, and asset history. · Establish and monitor key maintenance KPIs, including: o Preventive Maintenance Compliance o Equipment Downtime o Asset Utilization o Maintenance Costs o Work Order Completion Rates · Drive continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency and reliability. Collaborate Across the Organization · Work closely with Production, Engineering, Safety, and Quality teams to support operational goals. · Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers as needed. · Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization to ensure alignment and execution. Champion Safety & Compliance · Promote and maintain a safety-first culture throughout all maintenance operations. · Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and food manufacturing standards. · Participate in Safety Management and Risk Management programs. · Lead investigations and corrective actions related to maintenance and safety incidents. Qualifications Required · Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience. ·
